Yesterday, we talked about love stories. Today, though, is Saturday, and on Saturday we do the opposite of something we practiced during the week.

The opposite of a love story is not a break up story. Break ups have the same drama and energy of a love story except in reverse.

The true opposite of a love story is a life after story. A “how was your day, pass me the baby formula story.” The life after story is in the “take out the trash, do the dishes, get ready for bed and put on the old, smelly t-shirt because you’re too tired for fun” genre.

It’s a little less interesting, but it’s also the story most people live in. No vampires. No Robert Pattinson. No long steamy stares. Just the everydayness of life.

Write about “Edward and Bella” twenty years later. You can make them vampires or not. Just make them normal.

Practice for fifteen minutes. Post it in the comments when you’re done.
