I was super impressed with so much that Joe could intuit regarding my story from the materials I submitted – his insight and guidance is invaluable. He combines depth with simplicity, not over-complicating the matters at hand. There's such an art to combining the creative/intuitive/generative aspects of drafting and the editorial/analytical aspects of writing/revising. I easily get lost on either end – too much unstructured pantsing and then too much over-analytical plotting. Joe's insight and warm encouragement are setting me up for success, and I am confident that I will write a solid working draft with the book plan we collaborated on.
