Book Plan Critique

Start strong. Stay on track. Finish with purpose. A great book starts with a great plan — one that keeps you focused, motivated, and clear on what you’re building. Together, we’ll shape a detailed blueprint for your novel using a time-tested framework from The Write Practice. You’ll get clarity on your story structure, character arcs, and key milestones — plus a plan to actually finish your draft (without losing your mind or your muse). It usually takes 2–3 hours in 45-minute sessions, scheduled around your availability.

Weekly/Monthly Book Coaching

Regular support, accountability, and editorial insight — right when you need it. Writing a book is hard. Doing it alone? Even harder. With ongoing coaching, you get consistent check-ins and expert guidance as you write, revise, or wrangle your story into shape. We’ll use a proven story development system to stay focused and flexible, building your book step by step — together. Think of it as your personal writing Sherpa (but with fewer blizzards and more scene goals).

Manuscript Critique

You’ve written the book. Now let’s make it great. A manuscript critique gives you an honest, professional evaluation of your story’s big-picture elements — plot, structure, character arcs, pacing, point of view, key scenes, and how it all hangs together. I’ll read your manuscript multiple times and deliver detailed feedback, recommendations, and a working plan to help you revise with confidence and clarity. You’ll get a clear map of what’s working, what’s not, and how to level up your story’s impact. Turnaround: typically 2–5 weeks, depending on my current project load.

Proofreading

When every comma counts and typos are the last villains standing. You’ve wrestled the plot, tamed the characters, and survived revision hell—now it’s time for a spotless finish. During the Polish Pass, I comb through your manuscript line by line to catch: • Spelling slip-ups, rogue homophones, and sneaky autocorrect gremlins • Punctuation and capitalization hiccups (Oxford commas welcome, but not mandatory) • Consistency in names, timelines, and formatting • Basic grammar and usage tweaks that keep your voice intact while nixing distractions You’ll receive a clean, ready-to-publish document plus a tracked-changes file so you can see every tweak. No heavy structural notes—just pure surface-level shine to make agents, editors, and readers focus on the story, not the slip-ups. Turnaround: usually 10-15 days for a full-length novel (up to ~100 k words); shorter projects even faster.
